A intenção da artista é recriar e ampliar a justaposição de cores que acontece acidentalmente na vida diária onde, geralmente, os observadores não questionam suas percepções e nem a artista está no controle das justaposições.
A escolha da mídia, seja ela fotografia, pintura, instalação, vídeo ou música é feita de acordo com o elemento de composição mais importante ou surpreendente que emerge a partir da criação de cada obra. Para além da saturação da cor o uso da imagem desfocada tende a libertar o observador de hábitos costumeiros e automáticos de reconhecer uma cena, induzindo-o a uma nova abordagem de percepção do entorno.”
“The artist’s work is based on investigations into time and color that “reformulate” photographed color through an array of “wrong” exposures, affording new kinds of images whose intensity is both familiar and radically unexpected.
The artist’s intention is to recreate and further “interactivate” the juxtaposition of colors that happens accidentally in day-by-day life, where observers generally do not question their perceptions and nor the artist is in control of the juxtapositions.
Whether the media used is photography, painting, installation, video, or music, the choice is made according to the most important or surprising compositional element that emerges from the creation of each work. In addition to manipulating color and saturation, blurring the image tends to free the observer from the usual, automatic habits of recognizing a scene, thus inducing a fresh approach to perception itself.”
